Toronto and Niagara

Back safe and well from my holiday to Canada and America.

The first couple of days were a trip to Toronto and Niagara Falls, via the 1000 Islands (Some day I’ll tell you the story of how 1000 island dressing was invented).

The main thing to see in Toronto is of course the CN Tower. This is about as much as we saw…

Of course when we got to Niagara Falls the next day, the weather was much better…

 

Typical, travel half way round the world and get Scottish weather!

Actually, it wasn’t so bad. In fact we had a really nice time in Toronto, going round the city as we never bothered to go up the CN Tower to look at the inside of a cloud.

Although it was misty in Niagara falls when we first arrived, half an hour later we started to get great views. We went up the Skylon tower and got views from above the Canadien side (the horseshoe falls) and then went on the famous Maid of the Mist boat tour which took us within touching distance of the falls (and got us soaked in the process…
