Holiday at home and a new blog…

I’ve decided that given my position as a leader and trend setter amongst technology and all things modern, I better catch up to where everyone else was 5 years ago and get myself a blog. So here it is! Does this mean blogs are now officially uncool?

I’ve spent the last two weeks in the sunshine paradise that is known as Scotland. The first week passed without too much excitement, I spent it mostly working on a new website for the Loch Lomond Angling Improvement Association which was a lot of work that had been going on for weeks, but finally got put to bed. Quite pleased with the results considering that it is a difficult target audience to design for. I did manage to get a day out on the Loch seatrout fishing as a little reward to myself and was rewarded with a nice seatrout for my trouble.

The second week was the real holiday, up at my brother Neil’s new house (sprawling stately home) in Cruden Bay in the North East. Although the weather wasn’t the best, it was fantastic to walk along the golden sands, fish in the sea, eat out in nice restaurants and spend time with the family.

Highlights have to have been buying live monster crabs from an old sea-dog sailor for £1.50 each and trying to figure out how to cook them without being clawed to death, getting up close and personal with the seals in Peterhead harbour and best of all watching wild dolphins at Fort George throwing salmon up into the air, 30 yards off the beach!
