I helped out a friends company a little bit a while ago and yesterday he was having a kick-off for a new project he was working on. He decided to hire a R.I.B and take his customer for a quiet sail around the archipelago. There was a seat left over, so I jumped at the chance to join.
We basically had two 300 horse power engines on the back of a piece of plastic with 12 seats. We all had life suits etc on and the guide was very professional. We were out for about 3 hours, got up to speeds of over 50mph and every time we passed one of the big cruise ships, nipped across its wake and the full boat was out the water.
Now I know what it feels like to work for Greenpeace…
Are you OK? Were you sunk by the French?
“Work” for Greenpeace? No-one in Greenpeace actually works! Bunch of whinging student lefties!
I think Graeme’s description of Gary’s student years is spot on!
Oh wait, he is talking about Greenpeace! Nevermind…
Was on a Greenpeace ship in Aberdeen a few years ago – long story – soap dodgers eh, they were off to Finland to cause hassle for the loggers. We were like ‘at least the loggers work, nothin wrong wi a workin man. C’mon the loggers!!!’
What’s going on in the comments section of this blog???
No wonder the Tories won the election!
