Who killed the electric car?

is a film about how California’s “Zero Emission Vehicle” program should have meant that 10% of all cars bought in the state would be electric by now.

The film is about why this didn’t happen and the suppression of technology by the oil companies and motor manufacturers. Joining them at the top of the list of bad guys is of course the Bush administration who offered tax breaks of 4000USD for an electric car and tax breaks of 100,000USD for a 3000Kg Hummer.
