A Delicacy

When we were over in Scotland, we went past the little fishing town of Stonehaven. This town is famous for it’s picturesque harbour and of course for Scotland’s finest culinary creation: The Deep-Fried Mars Bar!!!

When we tried to buy a DFMB from the Carron fish and chip shop (the birthplace of the deep fried Mars bar), it was closed, so we had to come back 3 days later when it was open.

It was worth the wait! The mixture of chewy caramel, milk chocolate and melted animal lard was irresistible. I’d defenitely have one again… (as soon as I get out of hospital).

Hmmm…. I always wondered what they were like, being a big fan of both chocolate and chip shops. Not at the same time though!
