Today we played Lokamotiv Kungshamra at 9 in the morning. As it’s a holiday weekend it was a struggle to get the players together so we had just the minimum 7 (no subs).

We took the lead thanks to an audacious overhead back-heal from the half way line by our top (only) scorer Marcus. At half time it was 1-1.

We were doing quite well in the second half until some “Good Samaritan” passer-by decided he was the linesman and gave a penalty against us. We tired as the game went on and ended up losing 5-1.

The Fantastic Sven game was canceled this afternoon, might be re-scheduled for Tuesday…

There is now clear tangerine water between me and my competitor rubbish_runner in the minileague…

This was thanks to my correct prediction that Caley Thistle would be relegated as Falkirk would beat them 1-0.
By the way, if you want to know who will win the league, it will be Celtic as Rangers will draw 2-2 at Tannadice and Celtic will win 2-0.

The big climax to this years sporting calendar has arrived. With one set of games to play, the real race is for second place…

I will spend the rest of today deciding what my predictions will be. It’s a matter of family pride that GaryfraetheDale and Stideon don’t come last. And Stideon is no help at all…

On Saturday, the Fantastic Sven will play at 13:00 at Gärdet against Nabla IF and on Sunday it’s an early kick-off (9:00am) against my local team Lokomotiv Kungshamra.
It’s a feast of football (and predicting).

I’m glad to say that the Fantastic Sven defence was twice as good as yesterday!

Unfortunately we still got beat 3:1. Congrats to Marcus who scored our goal.

I got assaulted by a guy who must have thought he was playing in the Champions League final. He did a huge lunging tackle at me and knocked me up into the air. What goes up, must come down and I was lying starfish shaped in the middle of the park. Feeling it now, so I’ll take a little Scottish liquid painkiller before going to bed…

It was the first game for the Fantastic Sven today…

We suffered a narrow defeat, losing 6-0 to Csamh Saints. On the bright side, we never lost a single goal in the last five minutes of the game. So we’ll try and keep this good defensive record going in tomorrows game!

If we get 3 points tomorrow then we’ll be back on track. Kick off is 11:00am at Gärdet.

When I first came to Sweden I played for the local university pub team in the student football league. It was great, but I wasn’t.

In a bid to reclaim lost glories, I decided to play in this years tournament as well. Only problem was I had no team to play for. So I started my own team. Problem solved.

We are called The Fantastic Sven, and our first game is tomorrow against “Csamh Saints” at Gärdet. Unfortunately, the league is starting a week late, so each team has to play twice on one week. This week it’s us and on Sunday we face the mighty “Lilla Blå”. Two games in less than 21 hours, just as well I’m a professional athlete.

When did this happen????? I thought I had this in the bag!!!!

In fact I was so far ahead, I even stopped paying attention. But now it’s game on.

There are a total of 18 matches with three points each available. That’s 54 possible points and I’m 12 points off the lead. It’s going to be tough, but if we keep believing and all the boys play as a team, we might just have a chance…
